Don't block the Box!!

You may have noticed some new paint in front of the fire station. This new addition is to help with traffic backup from the construction project and to keep the space in front of the station clear for apparatus response operations. Please keep this area clear and do not pass on the shoulders.

Members Needed!

The Bryans Road Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad is currently accepting applications from dedicated, hard-working, and friendly people for membership.

No experience necessary.

We will provide training.

Applicant must be willing to learn Firefighting, EMS, or both and serve the community as a professional. Experienced persons are highly encouraged to apply.

Interested persons are encouraged to apply in person at 3099 Livingston Road, Bryans Road MD, 20616.

 

 

MVC Into Building November 6th, 2023

On November 6th, crews were alerted for a motor vehicle collision with a vehicle into the building at 7645 Indian Head Hwy, with one person trapped.  Chief 11A established command while Chief 11B headed the extrication group.  The driver was removed from the vehicle and it was determined by PA118 that MSP Trooper 7 was needed to transport the patient to the hospital. The sole occupant of the building was on the other side and unharmed.

Companies PG824, Squad 8, Squad 3, Collapse Units from Stations 1 & 7, NDW Truck 20, and Tower 9 assisted.

MVC Vehicle into bldg September 19th, 2023

Late last night crews responded to a call for service after a vehicle struck a building in the 2300 block of S Hampton Dr. Arriving units found a single vehicle that had backed into the residence. There were no injuries reported.

Units: RE11, 11A, 11B, Special Ops Chief 17, Capt 11, Collapse Unit 7, 73, 91 and NDW Truck 20.

Serious MVC September 18th, 2023

This morning, crews were alerted to serious motor vehicle accident reported as a head-on collision in the 6300 block of Bumpy Oak Rd.
Crews worked quickly to gain access and assess the patients. It was determined that one of the patients need to be airlifted to a trauma center for treatment.
Units: RE11, S9, SQ7, PA118, PA89, WMDO, BCHW, 211, BC8C, 91, CH8B, ETA11, MSP Trooper 2

Honoring our heroes, September 11th, 2023

On September 11, 2001, 2,977 people were killed in the deadliest terrorist attacks in American history.

After hearing of the attacks, five of our bravest firefighters, responded in Engine 112, 248 miles from our station to ground zero and began assisting in the rescue operations.
